As a Saab dealer since 1974, it is with great sadness we relay the news of Saab's bankruptcy announcement. We want to keep our clients up-to-date with the bankruptcy proceedings as they develop, so we will pass along any new information as it becomes available to us. Below is the notice we received from Saab today:

With the announcement this morning that Swedish Automobile N.V. (SWAN), Saab Automobile AB (Saab Automobile), Saab Automobile Tools AB and Saab Powertrain AB have filed for bankruptcy with the District Court in Vänersborg, Saab Cars North America will be suspending the processing and payment of all claim types, including but not limited to the following:


1.  New Car Warranty

2.  Powertrain

3.  All Emission warranties

4.  Part warranty

5.  Safety Belt/SRS

6.  Towing

7.  Recalls and campaigns

8.  Certified Pre Owned Coverage

9.  Goodwill

10. No Charge Maintenance


Saab owners should be advised to keep receipts of all related warranty work done or services performed until further notice.
